The Fifth Annual Childhood Cancer Classic was held on July 12, 2010 at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Illinois. It was a hot and humid day but our participants had a great time and participated in many on-course events. Al Tognocchi was the first-time winner of the Putting contest pocketing a cool $2,500 for his fabulous 60-foot putt.

We had an update on five-year-old Benny Watters, whose father Brendan was our guest speaker again this year. Benny is doing well and continues to defy the odds. His family is thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Memorial.

Although participation and sponsorships were down from previous years, we still managed to raise some funds to help in the fight against Juvenile Cancer.
